DOP High School Enrollment Specialist–Dayton

The Enrollment Specialist will be responsible for the organization and co-ordination of office operations, procedures and resources to facilitate organizational effectiveness and efficiency and is responsible for recruitment and successful enrollment of students.


The Enrollment Specialist is responsible for maintaining open communication with customers, employees, and other audiences to answer questions, disseminate or explain information and address complaints. He/she is also in charge of establishing and maintaining relationships across the community in which the school is located to boost awareness and drive enrollment. He/she must also understand, abide by, and implement the policies, directives and guidelines set forth by the management company. The Enrollment Specialist will:

  • Customer Relations
    • Communicate with customers, employees, and other individuals efficiently and effectively handle customer inquiries and complaints
    • Maintain a safe and secure working environment
    • Understand and communicate EMIS changes and data best practices with all levels of staff within the district in a timely, pro-active, and professional fashion
    • Comprehend, implement and apply data reporting rules for federal, local, and state reporting and be able to troubleshoot data error solutions
  • Enrollment
    • Establish a presence in the community for outreach and recruiting purposes
    • Provide enrollment counseling for incoming students and families
    • If applicable, council students and families through the appropriate application process for high school and/or college entrance
    • If applicable, establish a rapport with local and regional high schools and/or colleges
    • Participate in local community events to increase community awareness of the school and recruit enrollment
  • Administrative
    • Design, implement and maintain filing systems
    • Establish and monitor procedures for record keeping
    • Ensure security, integrity and confidentiality of data
    • Design and implement office policies and procedures and maintain office supplies inventory
    • Work collaboratively with other staff members in the district, as well as with other EMIS and non-EMIS reporting agencies in Ohio to ensure accurate EMIS data reporting for all involved
    • Report data for the district to ODE with dedication, good character, honesty, integrity, and professionalism
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

  • 1–3 years of office experience (supervisory experience a plus)
  • Experience in EMIS preferable: 1 year experience welcomed but not required
